church... circle around a fire... same thing.

I know the natives like the peace-pipe, but that doesn't make your stoner gatherings a religious festival...

August 10 at Stanley Park, I may go. However, I'll need to check rather I have work that day or not. Therefore, count me out in the mean time.

Oh, Natives do go to church alright. First of all, we pretty much spent the last 400 years shoving church and Christianity down Natives' throat. As a result, church has become a part of Native life, rather they like it or not.

Okay, so I haven't heard too many objections to August 10th, so that's the day it's gonna be. So now, if you can come on that day, post in here so I can make a list.

I think we'll start it after noon, maybe around 1 or 2-ish. The place is TBA, I need to find out where a good place is, that's accessible. Oh, and would anybody have a grill of some sort they could bring?

    Ether
    Me

    Hiking
    Shi2
    Kinky

AS FOR DETAILS, THEY'RE AS FOLLOWING:

Afternoon to Evening of Aug 10TH, this coming SUNDAY. For location, Burnaby Mountain, close to Burnaby Campus.

We can set the time for 4 pm. It's not a mandatory meet up time, but just to give you guys a general time frame. The meet up can last till 8 pm, or till midnight, depending how much we all want to be stuck with each other.

I was thinking it might be better at Stanley Park, since Burnaby Mountain isn't as accessible on the weekends by transit. The closest you can get is the 130 I think, and you'd still have to walk up that trail to get to the picnicking area. Any suggestions?

Oh, and respond soon, we need to know how many to expect, and thus how much food to purchase.
  • edited August 2008
is suggestions limited to stanley park and burnaby mountain only?

i guess important thing is bus accessible?
  • edited August 2008
Well, if there's another park that's accessible, then it's fine too.
  • edited August 2008
    Perhaps Confederation Park in Burnaby?

You can get there by taking the 135, then taking a short walk north.
