Your best anti-procrastination techniques
I, along with many other students, struggle with procrastination, focusing on the task at hand and good time management. I am taking steps to try and mitigate these things, including attending the upcoming workshops in the student learning commons.
Anyone have any personal techniques to share?
I am fond of the pomodoro technique

1. Don't study at home
You may not think it makes a difference but leaving the house may give you a sense of "get down to business".
2. Set a study deadline of x hours
Instead of just sitting there to "study the whole day", set a deadline. No matter what, you are out of there in 2-4 hours. This might help you concentrate a bit more knowing that you don't have ample time to browse.
50 minutes studying
10 minutes rest (do whatever you want in this time)
