  • Same here. Done, feels good.

CMPT 365 is probably my most regretted course decision...Maybe you should just destroy the book and save someone else the grief.
  • shhh i'm trying to make some money here ;)

365 admittedly wasn't the greatest course in the world (nor Mark, the greatest prof). but at least it was relatively easy marks. average performance throughout the course and a few days of solid studying before the final was good enough for an A.

My most regretted course decision was hands down 379 (compilers) with shermer. maybe if not for commuting, jobs, and macm 316 that could've been an ok course. but nope, wayy too hard
  • I took 365 wit Ze-Nian Li. Assignments were stupid easy, but then the tests seemed really hard. Even with a bunch of cheat sheets the averages were quite low. The assignments made it an easy path though.

I liked Shermer's 379. It was definitely a lot of hard work, but I found it rewarding. That said I would not have wanted to take it while working. That would have been hell.
  • I hope you guys keep checking the forum, i know there's a lot of comp sci questions !! We need your answers ; P Either of you taken 361?
  • I took 361 in 2011. I had a shitty semester that semester (but i did that a lot) but it was a decent course. Helps to know your math well, particularly linear algebra.

Raytracer project was really hard, not a lot of people did well. that includes me. it probably would've been pretty rewarding thing to get working.
  • Oh thank you, it looks like a neat class.
  • Please have a book burning bonfire near the pond
  • ^Yes. Inside the avocado. It would help disinfect it and purge it of its nastiness.

    @EricJ Don't go.
  • i look forward to never having to make that commute again, i'll burn my books in surrey thank you very much
  • What are you gonna do now that you're done?
  • Gonna graduate in one more semester and my future looks bleak and meaningless.
  • I start working in February. Not sure what I am going to do between now and then.
  • @ryan Travel, go before you're enslaved by corporate holiday policies.
  • @ryan Prostitute, go before you're enslaved by corporate sexual harassment policies.
  • Maybe travel. I am going to get a decent amount of vacation time too though so if I don't travel now I will be able to later if I so desire.
