Christmas Shopping!

edited December 2009 in General
Anyone getting in the Christmas spirit yet?

I generally like to try get my shopping done early. I think I've complained before about my boyfriend's birthday being 15-something days right after Christmas so not only is he super hard to shop for, but I have to find two great gifts within the span of under a month!

Since he wears a suit every day, he hardly has any casual clothes (but always talks about how much he loves them). Looks great in a casual hoodie, so I think I'll go to Armani and find one. Plus some of his favourite hard-to-find chocolates. I have no idea what to get for his birthday.

What's on your Christmas list this year?

Buy him a North Face Jacket, Puma jogging pants, Puma shoes, and one of those LV man purses. Then give him a military haircut!

I'm aiming for a new car this Christmas. That's all.

I really need new jeans and hoodies. Also, Uncharted 2 would be nice.

Need to figure out what to get for friends and family still though. I normally wait until the end of November to worry about it though.

Ugh.. It's not even Halloween yet. I can't think about Christmas.

^^ This will be my excuse until the end of the month. Then, replace "Halloween" with "December".

After that, "I still have weeks to shop" should get me through 'till the 17th.

if you want to get something nice for your boy, i'd suggest looking at clothing from Bikkembergs.

oh and take a look at Paul and Joe as well.

that's if he's into a more european clean look.

Don't get an Armani hoody, especially if it's just Armani Exchange lol, all the highschool dirts wear that.

I was going to get it flown from Italy, not from Armani Exchange...but now you have me doing some early morning shopping on those sites! Thanks!

I'm going to get a Suzuki Hayabusa and a wheelchair.

Valentino or Dolce & Gabbana have some really nice suits. They're a bit on the expensive side, but your boyfriend will look incredibly classy.

    umm.

well the first one from modern amusement, doesn't look good with the buttons up but it is merino wool.

i'd say no to the "ever" sweater, simply because not something i'd pay $165 for and a no-name brand

Joe's sweater looks way too simple, you can probably get something from diesel/guess/energie similar to that for a fraction of that price

If you like the modern amusement one, take a look at some Wrath Arcane

I'd buy this one but it doesn't come in my size plus a bit expensive
    http://www.revolveclothing.com/DisplayProduct.jsp?product=WRAT-MO54&c=Wrath+Arcane&d=b

I tried a Wrath Arcane sweater because it was on sale,
    http://www.revolveclothing.com/b/Product.jsp?code=WRAT-MO48

they don't fit true to size as i anticipated, so i'd get one size bigger.

If you wanted to stick with Merino wool, try this one from Fred Perry?
I'm assuming you're boy is built ( at least more than the model ) so he'l have a fitted look on this sweater.

    and it's Fred Perry

Dude... Haven't even started about Christmas yet! Still got Halloween on my mind. I've got a killer costume but no plans, so sad!

I just need a new peacoat which I will buy next month and these mulberry long cinched leather gloves at Spank. And black tights. Also, Philosophy's Unconditional Love fragrance. That's about it! All of which I will get next month.

I like the first one, 2nd one looks like its from walmart.

I like Illicit's 2nd suggestion, but everything else is too hipster for my taste.

Uh.. 3, 2, 1 in that order .. but I'm pretty sure my opinion counts for nothing in this matter 'cause I can't see myself paying that much for a hoodie/sweater/thing.

    I'm not a boy but I would say 3, 1, 2!

He`s not built :) But I still find it super difficult to buy something that will fit.

I like those suggestions. I was going for super simple because he has so many cashmere/fitted/etc sweaters.

And I just fell in love with the Wrath Arcane one but it`s out of stock :(

I'd say none of the above because of cost. I feel like you can get clothes that look exactly the same for a cheaper price, easily. I'd never spend 200 bucks on a sweater.

if he's not built, at least a little bit, it's hard to get that fitted look of course but you'll just have to find another look for him to go for then lol.

well you'll find something, just take some time even though i know you're probably really busy as well lol.

Oh, and the Wrath Arcane one is out of stock because I bought the last one a few weeks ago been getting a lot of compliments with it lol.

I don't like any of nicole's choices... lol. Just IMO.
#3 is not fitted, and straight pockets make you look bulkier.
#1 is okay... #2 is ugly.

As for Eddie's picks, #3 is ugly.
#2 and #1 are good choices.
Depending on how you're bf is built... if he's skinnier go for #1. If he's buffer go for #2.

On superfuture, there is a guy that makes pretty nice variety style jackets. if your bf likes that casual friday look then i would recommend it. They are made to fit, and are very comfy.

    http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/showthread.php?t=153094

or how about buying him something local.. like arc'teryx pull overs which will be good for those walks along the park (if you guys every do)

http://www.arcteryx.com/Product.aspx?Mens/Jackets-Vests/Alpha-SL-Pullover <- this pullover is very easy to match with jeans or just any dark colour pants.. I wear it for my lazy days when the weather is shit
