That having been said where the hell did the unlimited minutes plans go? Swear to god communications companies (landline and cell) try to find new ways to clip you for more money with each passing year.

Nice! Shopping around for a cheap emergency-phone plan for my mom and that sounds even better than Speak Out's $100/500 min (though you do get the free phone..) How'd you go about getting that plan? Do tell =)

Too bad Globalive uses 3G 1700, and so far, there aren't too many phones that are compatible with that GSM band. A search on GSM arena, out of their hundreds of phones, only found about 10 phones that are compatible.
That being said, after visiting the site, I don't really think much will change in terms of Canadian wireless usage and plans when they arrive. I hate it when people compare Canadian telcos with American ones...there's a big difference between the two countries.

90 is really expensive if it was purely a local plan, but his is an unlimited north american calling hard to put a price on that especially if hes using it for business in the states or whatever

He wasn't exactly attacking anybody, just merely criticising your plan and thinks you can do better.
There really is nothing about his opinion that strikes me as 'bad mod' behaviour.

It was just the level of the criticism wasnt very intelligent.
Not that it wasn't valid, he just didnt really back it up too well. Also, of what use is it for an unprovoked mod to criticize another members cell-phone plan?
