    wtf are u talking about?

richmond is full of gtr's... well more likely people with GTS with a single turbo RB25/26 DET rather then the GTR RB26DETT.

finding a 1998 BNR34 in spec II in lowermainland would be a rare thing lol.

I don’t think one would have to be a car enthusiast to realize it was sarcastic especially when
rust > GF lol when I first read it ages ago I couldn’t stop laughing and told my gf @ the time in the style "look what just happened to my friend" but she got it right away too
as for GTRs their bloody ugly! Even the new one! Sorry guys but that car looks like a cross between a celica, evo x and a blue whale
sure as a track car it would be fun but its hideous.. not to mention I doubt ud get many girls in that shit nor would they be impressed when u start talking about lap times and how it can beat this and that on the nurburgring

and impossible until the year 2014

and the R32 GTR is sexy not because it looks good but rather because it looks plain but is actually very fast. I like cars that are like that

there are many theories to how that car got into Canada and insured, I dont know exactly but is one story…it cost him in excess of 150,000$ and the car was disassembled and imported as parts, then the whole car was assembled in Canada and insured
is that how it happened? I don’t know and I don’t care
the fact remains the car is on BC streets using BC plates

Thats a very poor-minded way to think of it.

Sure you can get girls this way, but they'd be more interested in what can offer with these, than what you can offer without.

Bottom line, you don't necessairly need them. No large amount of money or a hot car can suddenly make a girl interested in you. But if it does take their interest, think about the fact that its the money and car that takes their interest, not you.

So if dont want to take my advice, take randomuser's advice and show who you are, not what you have. (I assume when randomuser says 'money' as a requirement, it shows that the man with money implies the fact that he is motivated and independent, and did not grow rich by inheritence or other unethical methods)

Hey! I'll bet that strategy you talked about on meebo must be workin' though, eh?

You remember, you saw that girl in your biology class and you mentioned that she kept lookin' at you; maybe she was interested? :shade:

Anyway, you also mentioned that in a week from then you'd be impossible to resist (you of course employed more vulgarities in describing what would happen, but I think you can recall what I mean ), remember that? :teeth:

    Hope all is well

If I describe him he sounds like a loser. Lives at parent's place; drinks too much; smokes pot too much; large credit debt; no car; didn't treat me well; has a not-so-impressive job; main hobbies are drinking, smoking, playing video games and partying with the boys.
I agree with you that the excessive drinking, smoking, gaming, and partying is unattractive, however aren't you expecting too much? For example, I don't drink, smoke and party. However, I only game when there are nothing better to do, I own a car, I still live with my parents, and I am still unemployed.
So I guess qualities like not living at his parent's place and having a car were just not as important to me as the person himself. But I think next time I am going to aim higher because I just find a guy who's more mature living in his own place and has a decent job more attractive.
When Susan Bozic’s The Dating Portfolio was exhibited at the SFU Gallery, did you drop by and have a look? Your unrealistic expectation reminded me of her exhibition.

I found your requirement to be somewhat unrealistic. Unless you plan to go for guys who have already graduated and paid off ALL their student debt or older men, only few in your age group would meet your requirement.

That would have been an interesting exhibit to see but i dont think she is being unrealistic at all. Lots of people in school don't live at home and have decent jobs still, and I'm talking about people under 25.

    Thanks, randomuser!

I am horrible at choosing guys for me that would work in the long term. I only go for opposites which work temporarily.

Living at home or not having a car is not necessarily a deal breaker for me. I am looking for someone who is actively (and realistically) trying to get all of that if they don't have it and graduate from school (if he hasn't done so already) . Also someone who already has their career started or actively and realistically trying to get a decent job. In other words, someone more like me.

I would prefer someone who doesn't live at home rather than someone who has a car. The morning-after walks out of my ex's room were just plain awkward. The way his house was set up, in order to go to the washroom or leave I would have to go by the kitchen. And usually when I would be leaving at least one family member would be there and talk to me... or even the whole family! I am not going to miss that walk of shame at all!!!

I feel much better today. He changed when he got his job and he keeps on pushing back going back to school. I don't think he's going back. By taking a job similar to one he had in high school, he became nocturnal and just not capable to commit. In a sense, he took a step backward. I hung on hoping we were just in a rut but this week when I started my new job (my first "real" job!) I realized that we weren't working. And he agreed with me. So that's life ;)

For age... I have only dated guys who are older than me and that statement is probably always going to true. I find myself mostly attracted to guys in the 22-25 range and I am going to be turning 21 this year. However, I would date a guy who is a bit older than 25 (I think 27 is my cut-off point... but never say never!).

I almost feel guilty for writing the last post about my ex and this post. I hate when people trash talk their ex's. My ex did that a lot and I told him. I almost feel like I did in this thread by calling him immature and saying that if I describe him he sounds like a loser. Oh well, at least this is anonymous. So I won't trash talk him out of respect. He should be doing the same for me. When my friends ask about the break-up I am going to just say the "we moved apart" line because it's true and a classy approach to take.
I've come to realize that age really is only just a number. I prefer older, but I don't have any sort of limit on myself. I've dated 19, I've dated 27, and I just prefer guys who are mature...but that doesn't really reflect age all of the time!

You seem to be taking it way better than I have ever dealt with a break-up. Maybe a pretty good indication that you really were ready...?

My boyfriend and I broke up today after almost a year of dating. Yay the end of my first serious relationship.

If I describe him he sounds like a loser. Lives at parent's place; drinks too much; smokes pot too much; large credit debt; no car; didn't treat me well; has a not-so-impressive job; main hobbies are drinking, smoking, playing video games and partying with the boys.

I started dating him last summer semester. After the summer semester I worked for a bit and then quit my minimum wage job and I took a break from school and work for a couple of weeks. After the summer semester, he decided to take some time off from school and eventually got a job in the middle of October. He just sat around for awhile doing nothing special. But at least he had the time to be an amazing boyfriend to me.

So I guess qualities like not living at his parent's place and having a car were just not as important to me as the person himself. But I think next time I am going to aim higher because I just find a guy who's more mature living in his own place and has a decent job more attractive. A guy who is more motivated and independent is better equipped to stay committed. I find guys like my ex are too immature to follow through on a real deal.
You deserve better! Have higher expectations for guys... Trust me, in the end it totally pays off. You're not wasting your time that way and you're getting what you want. Sure, you may be making limitations on your choice of guys but there is nothing wrong with having standards and expectations.

My ex-boyfriend said my standards were too high. I just know what I want and I know what I'm looking for and it's just too damn bad he couldn't conform to my needs. I sure gave him a hell of a lot and then he goes off and dumps me. Oh well, with his lack of social skills, have fun finding a new girlfriend that's a better catch than me. Ass.

    /rant

ANYWHO, I'm in the same boat as you. Guys are too immature and I keep finding myself being attracted to older guys. But there's nothing wrong with that either!

Believe it or not there are many entry level jobs if you look around that will pay you 40-50k a year. Uni Jobs, City Jobs, basically union jobs. I have a few friends who work at grocery stores who make 20+ an hour.
I go to school full time, I work near full time, I have my own place, I have a car I dont use by my own choice, and I have no support from my parents. It's all about managing your time, and not working shitty jobs. Unfortunately there are a plethora of shitty jobs out there and you do need to look around and apply and apply and apply but it's doable.

This is the kind of life style I have and I like it in other people also. I mean I could probably be partying every night if I lived at home but I don't so I don't. I have time to do stuff a few times a week in addition to all my work, and I think once I graduate having the work experience and ethic I have now will help me with jobs. I'm surprised by the sheer amount of people in uni who have never worked a day in their life, work experience is a bigger asset than your GPA when you graduate.

Anyway guys that got their shit together are great, it shows like an aggression for life, and girls generally like aggressive guys who apply themselves.
