hand made cheese cake from true confections on alma's, an artsy latte from caffe artigiano, dimsum thats not premade and pushed around on carts but made immediately when you order, kobayaki cooked japanese food, authentic italian pasta, greek food with fresh cut veggies, steak and lobster dinner, etc...

boy, and here i thought all i had to be was a nice guy to get a gf
    >laugh< All that sounds oooooh soo good!!

I find a lot of joy and comfort in eating. I'm lucky that my metabolism has let me stay under 150lbs considering all I scarf down.

Some women want gold and diamonds. I like those too, but each new boyfriend won't let me wear what the ex bought me so I never get to keep wearing any jewelry. So food it is!

On one my boyfriend my aniversary, I folded him 1000 cranes (theres a story where when you fold a 1000 cranes, you can make a wish).

However, I wanted it all to be a surprise, so I left a box of 500 cranes with his roommate, which he left on my boyfriend desk in the morning. I also left a box with 499 with his sister, who put it on his bed at his house (he lives on res at UBC and goes home for the weekend). In the morning, he was shocked to see the 500, and even more shock to see an identical box at home.

So he only has 999...I'm keeping one to give to him at later special day =)

I already have actually many times. Remember I am a girl and the media and other people do a successful job of making me obsessed with such trivial things as ideal body weight, a smooth stomach and massive tits.

Depending on frame I should be anywhere between 125 to 147 lbs. I didn't say I actually weighed 150lbs, only that I've been able to keep myself under that weight. Sheesh.

It's common sense! I don't keep anything my old BF's give me... I usually chuck it, or give it to charity. Meh, they weren't nice things either. One had really bad taste... *cough* wonder why they're ex's.

For me... I've never been above 120lbs. Can't seem to make it past that.
Don't get me wrong, I eat like a freaking horse. According to my BMI I'm underweight. They're tell me to gain 18 lbs... lol.

never said you weighed 150.. do realize that the BMI is a measurement that compares your weight relative to your height in determining your health.. i'm not saying it's an accurate since it's only an estimate.. but generally a good guide to refer to if you're concerned about your overall health and well being.. ideal body weight is overrated these days what matters most is your health.. which was my intention for the post...

    on a side note..

it's been said that "the quickest way to a man's heart is six inches of metal between the ribs".. ;)

Hi there, sorry I didn't see that you thought, that I was concerned about my health. I have greater stamina than my boyfriend, and while he can outrun me and lift more weight, I can outswim him no problem. Since he's 6" with definition, I judge him to be a good yardstick to compare to.

And to finally stay on track with this thread, the most romantic thing I have ever done. Uhm, does cooking dinner in a corset and g-string count as romantic?

As a History major, I know the origin story of Valentine's Day and I found that the modern Valentine's Day has lost its meaning. As a single (any female taker?), I tend to brush the day off just like any other day.

Besides, Valentine's Day is pointless if you are a total jerkoff to your girlfriend in other 364 days of the year.

^Hey Student, what's the story of Valentine's Day? I remember hearing it on some sort of kid's history show when I was a kid (I cannot count all the history/science kid shows I've watched...) It was about a guy (Captain Valentine? Ha) who missed his wife when he was at sea and always wrote her letters or something =T

And to the weight-watchers I'm 5" and the last time I was on a scale, I was 86 pounds. I have an avg of 88 and a high of 90 though. I've checked my BMI, but I forgot what it was. And I eat a LOT. I can have all-you-can-eat for all three meals of the day =D

Here is the version that I got. Back in the time of the Roman Empire, a male must serve in the military and honorably discharge before they are allowed to get married (I am not a Roman History buff, anyone want to verify this point?). However, there was a priest call Valentine who were caught marrying couples even though the guy never served in the Roman Legion. Worse, he also married CHRISTIAN couples. So, the Roman Emperor at that time arrested him, tortured him, and executed him.

As a result, Valentine was martyred and later sainted and Valentine's Day was established to remember his sacrfice. How this evolved into a day of spending a fortune and spoiling your girlfriend, I don't want to know...

    No, THIS IS HOT.

In terms of that weight-watcher/ BMI thing, I am 6'' and 150lb. According to the BMI calculator, my BMI is 20.3 and I am normal.

dude, you are skinny. Since we're on the topic of our weight, I'm 6", and around 160. My highest was 183 back in 04 when i used to work out. lol.

anyone wanna turn this thread into a weight / BMI thread?

and yes. Valentine's Day, a day when guys prey on lonely girls @ nightclubs... lol or so I used to think :(

Why do you have to be extra romantic on Valentines Day? Can't you just do that every other day? I had always thought it was some holiday invented by Hallmark to squeeze more profits, and then it somehow caught on...like diamonds as wedding rings.

Anything can evolve into spending a fortune and spoiling your girlfriend, all it takes is money and creativity (though money>creativity).
