  • I feel like kindergarten again....can't believe you're old and "academically competent" enough for university but you can't navigate around the campus without a guided tour, I mean SFU is only a small to medium size campus compare to oh UBC, UVIC, U of T, etc.
  • ^yeah but the place looks the same everywhere same grey old concrete and the maps are confusing as hell and plus the floors are confusing. many 1st-years think the floors start at 1 at the AQ and end up being late for their class. Also some tour guides know secret spots to engage in private studying/sexual activity.

Don't get lost in Simon Fraser Penitentiary.
  • I think the goal is to meet ppl in the same year as you and hopefully taking the same classes as you
  • It was not worth it for me because my group didn't mesh that well. If you're the type to make new friends easily then I guess it might be good.
  • I'm kinda tempted to go now and just show up (and hope I get signed up for free) for the heck of it lol. Can only first years/new students go?

@beanbean: Where are some of these secret spots? :D
  • ^I can only tell you depending on your gender and what time you will be there to check it out.
  • @SFUTalk, anyone who's in their 2nd year should know where the cheapest vending machine in school is located...
  • But I don't use vending machines! They're a rip off!
