Internal Transfer to Kiniseology
I'm in Arts taking the 5 Kin courses to transfer, bio101 chem121 math154 phy101 and kin142.
I emailed the advisor what the average was for internal transfer, and she said 3.33 gpa..
that sounds way too high, especially when the bio class average i am currently is 63. (I'm at 65)
has anyone transferred to kin? is the gpa really 85% to transfer? Cuz then i'll need to think of another science to transfer =]

I transfered in last year. I think it's probably closer to 3 in some semesters, but 3.33 doesn't sound unreasonable. If you consider that they only let a handful in each semester, they pick the ones with the best GPA.
When I transfered I had a GPA of about 3.85 and an A- to A+ in all the required classes. If you only have a 65 in BISC 101, you might have a tough time in KIN, since they're similar in many ways. I hated biology (never took it in high school), but managed to get an A with hard work and maybe a little luck. If you don't get in, have you considered Health Sciences? It's somewhat similar, but would be easier to get into. How are you doing in KIN 142? Good luck!
(And 85% in science classes is usually an A-, almost an A, which is a 3.67 GPA).
