Really? From what I remember our slides were pretty similar to the textbook. Anyway he would ask us question that just required memorization, no thinking. So like he would give you an x/y axis and say draw and label the spiral model or say list and describe the n steps of the waterfall model, really no thought or application of knowledge required, just regurgitate.
Ugh Herbert Tsang. I guess for a class like 275 it doesn't really matter too much. When it gets to Upper Division, that's when it really starts mattering. Don't bother taking any classes with him if you can help it. I still bagged an A in my UI class but didn't learn ANYTHING.
I had cmpt 275 with herbert Tsang before and I enjoyed the class very much. Don't know what you guys are talking about?! What's wrong with following a textbook? It makes studying much easier, all in one place!

i don't see how u could do a UI class and not get an A (regardless of teacher lol)

The slides were all that was needed to study.
