Question about CMPT 275 Herbert Tsang

edited September 2010 in General
What's the best way to study for his midterm?

Should I study his slides more or the textbook?

Thanks

    Memorize the textbook

So I guess his slides are useless and I should just fully concentrate on the textbook?

His slides are based on another book, not the textbook.

Really? From what I remember our slides were pretty similar to the textbook. Anyway he would ask us question that just required memorization, no thinking. So like he would give you an x/y axis and say draw and label the spiral model or say list and describe the n steps of the waterfall model, really no thought or application of knowledge required, just regurgitate.

Herbert Tsang is a cocky bastard, I almost wanted to get up and punch him in the face to humble this dipshit down. Maybe when I graduate...

I took this a couple semesters ago. The slides were directly from the textbook but I guess he could have changed books or slides.

The slides were all that was needed to study.

Herbert is a baby face dips**t. He likes people who participate in class, ask a lot of questions and read all his slides.

So what's on his final ???

Ugh Herbert Tsang. I guess for a class like 275 it doesn't really matter too much. When it gets to Upper Division, that's when it really starts mattering. Don't bother taking any classes with him if you can help it. I still bagged an A in my UI class but didn't learn ANYTHING.

I had cmpt 275 with herbert Tsang before and I enjoyed the class very much. Don't know what you guys are talking about?! What's wrong with following a textbook? It makes studying much easier, all in one place!
