1st Year Textbook Question

edited August 2009 in General
I was wondering what I should do about my textbook situation. At the moment I don't feel like ordering my books from SFU or a 3rd party and then carting them over when I move to BC. I'd like to buy from other students and find less expensive resources.

Would I be in trouble if I waited until school starts to buy my books? Anyone have any advice on the best way to deal with textbooks?

Thanks

(If It helps I need books for these classes)

Buy them after classes start. Most likely won't have required readings or anything till the second week.

Half the time, you don't even need it if the instructor posts the slides online. But since all your courses are reading and writing courses, I guess you'll need the book.

Thanks for the advice, that's what I figured so I'll just wait and see. I just know I hate buying books that just sit in my backpack all semester.

I can sell you the History 130 book for $90, which is a lot cheaper than the bookstore. Its called "Worlds Together, Worlds Apart" and still in the shrink wrap.
