What are your summer - between semester plans?

edited April 2009 in General
I'm travelling overseas once I'm done my exams, and I've debated not coming back for the summer semester, but I know I'll come back anyway, who needs a break after three consecutive years anyway.

More school for me. And getting into shape. Now that I don't have to work anymore, I can spend more time on things I want to/should be doing.

Speaking of getting into shape, I lost my abs over the fall and just started my exercise ball routine again as of late.

I will have beach abs for the summer :shade:

Lucky you. I was going backpacking this summer, but my friends are broke so I'll have to wait till next year.

I'm going to enjoy the great outdoors. I found a huge list of hiking trails in BC and plan on climbing each one before my semester break is over.

During my summer semester, I only have one course. I'll be working, hiking again, and enjoying my guitar. It's going to be a really mellow summer for me.

I'll be over 135 credits after this semester, I'm not going to apply for graduation until the end of the year until I take a few more courses since I have free tuition at SFU, and want to keep my registration priority.

Continuing Employees, and some of their associates get tuition waivers, so I while I wait for law school I can go ahead and get a double major.

Well I don't want a chiselled six pack, I just want definition.

I have such little body fat it only takes me a few weeks of 5x a week to get the definition I like.

^Lucky you. I don't think I will ever get abs.

As for summer plans, I'll be starting my 3 courses right after my last day of co-op. I'll also have to start looking for my next co-op job... ugh... I hate job-hunting.

the plan (for now) is to go back to hk during the first week of may and come back by the end of the month.. so far i'm not so keen on the idea cause:
    a) i'll be missing out on the convocations i'm suppose to attend
    b) hk is gonna be hot as hell
    c) i have a bad feeling about what's in store for me

so i dished out the "but school is more important" excuse and hope my parents and relatives will give me a break..

hahaha.. i've accepted the fact that i'll never get abs.. i just hope that i don't pack on more belly fat given how much i love to eat.. =x

I'll unfortunately be working most of the summer. I'm taking three weeks to fly back home to Toronto for a bit, and possibly take a road trip from there to Ottawa and Montreal. And then back here for more work.

I will be pre-occupied with IAT 202 and copious amounts of writing including and not limited to:

    - My blog
    - Cracked
    - Escapist
    - Any other publication that will accept freelance work

I'm also hoping that whatever freelance work I can get will earn me a bit of spending money for the summer.

And also a workout routine of some sorts, including hopefully weekly jogs around the neighbourhood.

In terms of school, I will be taking one course (HIST-436) this summer to finish my 400-Level History and Group 2 requirement. In terms of fun, I will be paintballing every single weekend.

This should be a fun summer.

Whoa! For real? Some of the articles for Cracked are very insightful, and philosophical. Do you write for the humour column? One of my favourite ones is the one that talks about the degradation of social contacts. Real eye opener.

I am finishing my finals on 17th and moving out of SFU Rez on 18th. Then, coming back to school in the summer and taking 3 classes. I have lots of schooling to do in the next few semesters. But I gonna take off in the summer 2010.

I haven't actually written for them, nor am I an actual columnist. I just decided to try my hand at freelance writing and so I've been submitting article proposals to those sites, hoping to get a go-ahead on a piece. That said, I've seen the some of the freelance competition, and I feel like I have a pretty good chance.

I guess my summer seems boring compared to most of you guys :(

I'll be on my co-op still for 4 more months, ending sometime in August.
At the same time I'll be taking one course up at SFU just for kicks.
Also most likely work part time at the Playland office again.

Vacation? Probably not. Need to save up for my next few sems of school!

    Sigh, I'm so boring.
