Course selection problems

Hey guys,

In shortest, simplest form my problem is if i'm on the right campus.

I want to go to SFU to learn how to make a business, clean and simple.

I've been accepted into SFU business burnaby. will courses in this faculty help me learn all the tools i need to do so? or is it more focussed on learning business related aspects and not how to create one in itself?

I looked at surrey and noticed the entrepreneurship course. but it's only available at surrey and i wanted to take some burnaby campus courses as well!

any ideas?

    The best way to learn real world business skills is through experience. Meaning, start a business, fail, start another one, and keep learning and getting better at it. Even once you do a business degree you have to go through this process of experience. Education only gives you business theory, so just work hard and do some learning online. If you're located in BC, visit www.smallbusinessbc.ca to get started with the paperwork and registration of your first company. And always make sure you have a proper business plan ahead of spending any money or wasting any time.

    SFU Business will teach you the basics and prepare your for your future career.

    We do not need more idiots who thinks they got a brilliant idea and took out a huge loan from the bank to start a business. Then later, the idiot realized that their business sucks and the business folds. On top of that, they now lost all their investment + owe the bank as a result. Then the bank, taking over the business and liquidating all the retard's asset in an attempt to get some loan back from this terrible investment, will also lost quite a bit of money. If more idiots do this, the bank can pretty much go out of business!

    On top of this, I would also like to say that this also applies to retards who think they can afford a mansion in the suburb while working minimum wage by taking out a loan from the bank. If you can't pay your mortgage and the bank has to foreclose your home, the bank is losing quite a bit of money too!

    I am not an economic major, but isn't this one of the many reasons why we are in the economic shi*? May some Economic Major or Business Major correct me?

    To answer your question with a helpful answer--YES, SFU business will teach you the basics of business. You are on the right track. You need to know the basics of business before you take an entrepreneur course, or else you'll be lost in the terminology.

    The best way to become good at business is through experience, true, but you won't even be able to get a good start without knowing the basics first.
