Philosophy

I'll need to subject myself to such torture if I want to get into Crim, would anyone know which of the following philosophy courses is the "easiest"?

PHIL XX9 - Critical Thinking
PHIL 100W - Knowledge and Reality
PHIL 110 - Introduction to Logic and Reasoning
PHIL 120W - Introduction to Moral Philosophy

    Well... all phil courses are one of those hit or miss ones, either you get it it or you don't. Either it's super easy or super hard, but it depends on the person...

    I took PHILXX1 and it was super easy, IMO.

    i thought 120 was easy (and actually interesting).. there's a paper and a final.. the prof gives out a list of final questions @ the last lecture and basically he's going to pick a couple of questions out from there and that's your final.. =)

    Knowledge and reality is the easiest, if you don't know how to bullshit.

    If you love bullshitting, critical thinking is the easiest.

    Philosophy courses are easy in general, especially first level ones. I wouldn't worry about picking any one of those.

    You'd be surprised at how many people who are unable to "critical think", especially in first year courses that require it (i.e. PHIL)

    I took the PHIL 120 @ UBC, which is equivalent to PHIL 110 @ SFU, and it was almost similar to math in how the everything connects together logically. Fairly easy if you're good at math and "understanding" concepts and why things work the way they do

    Good to hear philosophy isn't as bad I thought it would be. Some friends who took it said it was the hardest thing they've ever learned. I was thinking taking either PHIL 100W or PHIL 120W because of the B-Hum designation. What's the writing amount like for those courses?

    If 110 offered W credit, I would so take it!

    Written course load usually depends on what kind of prof you have. Just expect the basic--there will be one major term paper.

    Philosophsy is crap. But I'm pretty sure it's like required for every major, unfortunately.

    I took 100W with Jill MacIntosh. Two major papers with revisions and small assignments along the way. It was hard.
