SFU Basketball to become part of NCAA

Simon Fraser University will apply for NCAA Division II membership by this year’s June 1 deadline and, if approved, plans to move all its teams there by the 2011-12 season. UBC is still undecided

    Can we just move the women's team? I seem to distinctly recall that the men's team can't beat anyone even in CIS competition

    being an NCAA school will bring in better talent.

    Being a division I NCAA school with a solid basketball program and deep scholarship pockets will bring more talents
    Being a division II NCAA school in Canada on a mountain thats built more like Alcatraz than a ski resort is not.

    Going to NCAA is not a good idea. NCAA won't even accept us into their program, I bet they will turn us away. There is no way they can make money off of us, nor do we have the talent to compete in any of the NCAA divisions. The only reason we did good in the NCIA is because of how shitty those teams are.
