Back to School (or what is there to do at the downtown Campus?)

Hi,

I'm returning to university this April to upgrade some of my qualifications. It's been a while since I was in school, and the thought of going back really excites me, so much so that I'm considering the Weekend and Evenings program in something, just for kicks...

In the meantime, what interesting and studenty things happen at the downtown campus, any?

    Theres really not much in terms of student life there, but there are often evening lectures and public series events held through various organizations, within or external of the university.

    The downtown campus provides alot of courses for fine and visual arts students. It has a great campus. However, I don't know of any events which happen there. You can always bus down to the bby campus. We've got vegetarian lunch every Wednesday? in the atrium, a recreational facility which is free to all students, and also a lot of intramurals which you can sign up for. Hope this helps!

    Cool, thanks!. I remember liking the SFU main campus when I was there, I might just do that. I won't be bussing though. ;-)

    We're getting a new contemporary arts building in downtown, and from what I've read, it's going to provide quite a vibrant student life. They're expanding our campus radio to the new building, and provide a lot of multimedia and art-oriented exhibits and opportunities for students.

    It's still under construction, but from what SFU did to the satellite campus in Surrey, it'll probably be really cool.
