Anyone ever failed at enrolling in classes?

So after three years of enrolling properly, this semester I forgot to proceed to step 3 of 3, and just left my classes sitting in the cart.....OOPS, now they are all closed.

Yes epic fail, but I am not worried as I will just enroll in the first week if I can't pick them up between now and then cause I heart Gabriel Sauro and he will help me.

Anyone else ever epically fail at enrolling?

    Never made that mistake but that is definitely a FML moment

    I was trying to figure out why I couldn't see my summer schedule and it was telling me I wasn't enrolled in any classes, so I then thought, did I enroll properly?

    When I tried to enroll in my BUS374 class it told me that "You cannot enroll because it is past the enrolment deadline".

    I was like WTF!?

    So I emailed my BUS advisor and she put me in the class 5 minutes later.

    Not really a FML moment *shrugs*

    Yes, that has happened to me. I hate that button! I ended up with an 8:30am tutorial for one of my classes due to that. Not impressed.

    i clicked on the wrong the semester (spring instead of summer).. and kept searching for classes that didn't exist.. and when i realized what happened my class was closed.. =( curses to early registration times..

    This is why you should always check your weekly schedule and class schedule right after enrollment to confirm rather you enrolled or not.

    To prevent unfortunate accidents such as this, I always log on thirty minutes before registration to confirm rather the courses I wanted are still open and also to verify the class numbers. During my registration time, I just enter the class numbers, add courses onto the shopping cart, and confirm my enrollments.

    Go.sfu has some major usability problems...same goes for webct and pretty much every other web stuff SFU has commissioned for, with the exception of Connect.

    @JayDub and schmoey, thanks for the support.

    Interestingly, I have been looking for work or volunteering opportunities involving academic advising for SFU. I know that there are work positions in SFU called Peer Advisors, where students are trained to advise other students. I actually received an email about an opening about a year ago from the Humanities Academic Advisor. However, I couldn't apply because I was 10 credits short of 60 credits required.

    Too bad none of Health and Counselling Services' programs dealswith academic advising, or I would so apply.
