^It is determined on a combination of scholarship/ varsity status, disability, year/ credits, domestic/ international, and CGPA.
How this works is that...
1.) Scholarships, Varsity, and students with Disability always register first. 2.) Then we have fourth year people with high CGPA. 3.) Then fourth year people with not so high CGPA 4.) Then third year with high CGPA 5.) Then third year with not so high CGPA 6.) Then second year and so on. 7.) Finally, international students.
Contrary to what Student Service academic advisors may tell you, declaring your major will not improve your registration date.
Grade Point
1. priority registrants 2. everyone else by grade point 3. intl?? (really? they get last, always??) 4. ??? 5. PROFIT!!!
^From what I gathered from Student Service, the reason international students register last is because SFU is a "taxpayer funded" public university and it would not be fair to domestic students, who funded this university with tax dollar, if international students, who didn't pay any taxes, took all the spots in courses. This notion is total BS because SFU international students are what's keeping this university on life support at the moment.
I had my interview to get into a Japanese class today... The prof said that she has never seen such few classes for a summer semester before! And despite that, she stuck me with JAPN 101 (only one section!) instead of 100! Even thought I failed the interview (it was on purpose though...)!
Guess I won't be getting the classes I need ='(
I wonder if I should go through all the trouble of trying to enroll into a UBC or Langara for some classes... but I think I'll still have a crappy enrollment date X_x
Hulkster very mad brother. Because let me tell you something Mean Gene, the Hulkster has a 3.5 CGPA, with 40 credits, and yet it's on March 19th brother.

I just found out that one of the only two choices I have for the summer semester have 3 books + a custom courseware. So now, I only have one class and if I a.) couldn't get into that class or b.) the class is too difficult, I will just say a big "fuc* you" to summer courses and take a long vacation.
