on of my ex's used to always talk to me about crap she read in cosmo, esp when it came to men and honestly i couldn't believe some of the advice given to women in those types of magazines so i guess i have a biased opinion of the magazine since I've never read one myself but from what i've heard... it does not sound promising :P
Back in hs, I remember visiting a couple of schools in richmond and until now I can't get myself used to this sight. Most asian girls with fake blonde hair, not to mention the hairstyle, tight tna's and bags. On the other hand, the guys are in full black puma gear head to toe. If they're not wearing any headgear, their hairstyle is similar to those in Dragon Ball Z.

hahaha.. you're right the advice they give isn't promising... but it's hella funny to read/laugh about them and then see some dude following the advice and trying his luck..X)

there are those faggots still in sfu with the same dragon ball z hair. i wish i could run by with a razor and shave them straight down the middle of their heads
this is in regards to a caucasian and asian relationship.
it's evident that the cultures are very different, one values enjoyment and just going out to have a good time where the latter appears to have a heavier bias on material goods.
I can admit, myself, along with many asian males, spend a good portion of our budget on clothing and our cars. many asian females douse themselves in expensive clothing, bags, shoes, make up, food.
Caucasians, appear to enjoy spending a couple thousand dollars on a trip, out to see the world, meet new people while not really being very keen on expensive material goods like clothing and cars. eg. white guys that love to go camping and just get hammered at parties, picking up their girlfriends in a beat up civic that i would be more than embarrassed to be next to.
this is just a simple example, this doesn't take into consideration values, qualities, ambitions, parental "consent" and acceptance etc.
bro that was a pretty insightful comment...obviously the descriptions don't apply to 100% of asians or 100% of caucasians but it kinda makes sense. i dunno how much of this has to do with cultural/personal differences and how much it has to do with the fact that most asians are 2nd gen but both sides definitely have their upside and downside...balance is always a good thing
The worst advices given to women comes from women. Stop reading those rags.
If women want advice, honest straight I-won't-give-a-damn-about-hurting-your-feeling sharpshooter is the person to go to.
i disagree with this.. i find women often give more in-depth advices when it comes to certain issues.. not to say that honesty isn't appreciated.. but brute honesty will hurt if it is not welcomed.. the i-won't-give-a-damn-about-hurting-your-feeling sharpshooter is good when you need someone to be your conscience.. but don't expect them to give out useful advices..
It's mainly the cultural problem. The asian girls who go out with non-asian guys are usually the ones who have been westernized. On the other hand, the asian girls who just came over from HK/china would stick with guys recently from HK/china.
The worst case scenario is my case where it can be described as "not reaching either side of the shore." Westernized asian girls think I'm not western enough and asian girls don't think I'm asian enough.
Thanks for the all the advice, perhaps I could try telling her my feelings and just see how that goes. Honestly, the truth is that my parents are very racist people and I've been raised to think of non-Caucasian people as "inferior" to us. Even though I do love her, I just can't completely rid myself of how I was raised. Hell, I'm scared of just what my parents would do if they found out I liked someone Asian. I've got nothing against non-Caucasians myself but its just that I can't really forget the basis of my life...I mean, constantly being told that non-Caucasians are vile wicked spawns of Satan for over 18 years kind of makes it hard to...

No worries. Your parent are just trying to preserve your whiteness.
