Making this distinction does not mean you aren't a bigot, hth

I said that the lifestyle of homosexuality (in my opinion/belief) is wrong.

    Eg.

I think cheating is wrong. (A statement of my opinion on something, this is what i'm saying)

I think cheaters are wrong. (Stupid statement that makes no sense. this is
    what you think i'm saying)
Oh, okay then. You don't hate gay people you just thing homosexuality is tantamount to adultery. You also use the right wing talking point terminology "lifestyle". Both statements characterize homosexuality as a choice, a position that is morally and empirically indefensible and serves as further proof that you are in fact a moron.

    Edit: Took out comma splice.

when i say "lol arts" i'm not knocking you or your program, i'm just drawing on my experience with arts courses...which is: they're easy
Have you not read anything I've even been saying? Not all arts courses are the same, just as not all sciences classes are the same. Quit generalizing, what you took some 100 maybe 200 level arts classes?

By saying "lol arts" you are knocking my program, just as when you say you don't approve of gays lifestyle, then you say you dont have anything against them. It doesn't make sense.

-deep sigh- It's like theres this dischord in your brain, where these two wires are supposed to connect and they dont in your head.

And I must say, one thing that *really* irks me is that art students take no initiative and ask really ridiculous questions that don't need to be asked.

"Can I use MLA style?" Who the fuck cares what style of citation you use if the prof did not explicitly state. Use IEEE style for all the prof cares, just cite with an appropriate style.

or in a more recent class

"Do I have to separate my interview and reflection by separate headings?"

Again, who cares, the prof did not state so take some initiative and use common sense and do what seems right, it is not like the prof will take away marks from you for doing that.
Again, you're generalizing, do these idiots not exist in the faculty of science as well? Theres some of us in arts classes who feel the pain of people who ask stupid questions or make dumb remarks. Maybe they just drop out of university quicker in the some of the sciences.

Funny how this arts vs science debate backtracks to a poll on erect penises.

It's like getting high without smoking dope.

You really didn't read the context of what he said... maybe you should take some more W classes or arts classes.

Nothing has crawled up his ass, the No-IVT Club is on a marketing campaign right now, we're trying to get more members and donations. Due to the recession we need to step our game up.

I've never heard someone ask, "can I use Python?" after the professor has said something like, "Write a random-sentence generator using a hidden-markov model". The students in that class have the common sense to know they can use any language.

I say one cannot live without the other. Art comes up with the most curious questions while science tries to answer. Science has limitations to which art can give an easy aide. I can't imagine a life wherein everyone is a nerd or a bunch of hippies.

You can't really generalize in a diverse world.

Maybe someone has asked in a class you weren't in?

I'll be honest, I know what you're talking about, I've seen it first hand many times, but not much since first or second year.

Then there are other classes where I'm surrounded by intellectually challenging and competitive people.

It really is comparing apples to oranges. The faculty of arts can't decide which paper style they want to stick to which is confusing, while using python or hidden-markov seems to have some functional use.

    ---

Either way, if someone wants to make the claim everyone in CMPT is smarter than everyone in Women's Studies that's fine, I don't know if I'd believe it, but I won't argue their right to say it, as more as it may or may not be untrue. Maybe some of the people in CMPT are getting a women's studies minor? I mean look at you, you are in the arts and sciences, does that make you stupid as an arts student and smart as a sciences student?

At least its not some ignorant comment made by someone flunking out of the sciences, trying to pass their insecurity about their lack of intelligence on others, by saying their faculty is better than everyone in another faculty, when they're doing shitty in their own faculty.

But would you rather have it in Python?

Another example from a class today: " Would you recommend using headlines to seperate our paper into the two sections? Or do you want a seperate paper all together, one for the interview and one for the self-reflections? Just a little confused about that."

Who the fuck cares. Use common sense and move on.

PS a hidden-markov model and python are not the same type of thing. One is a programming/scripting language, the other is not.

And I guess noone in the history of CMPT has said something stupid, or done unbelievably bad on an assignment ;P?

I'd pull up that quote I have of IVT where he says hes attempting a class for the third time but I'm too exhausted.

i actually agree with you that doing it 3x is pathetic, but this is by far the hardest course i have taken so far.

Classes are only as good as what you get out of it. Whether a class is easy or not or what grade you get is really irrelevant. If you get nothing out of it, what was the point? One of the best classes I ever took I failed, well everyone failed with a D being the highest grade... A degree in anything is useless if you don't have a plan to use it. A degree may get your foot in the door but it won't get you a job.

Average penis size is 5 inches with a standard deviation of .5 inches. If you don't know how to use it or what your woman likes does it really matter how big it is?

well simplespectre.. unfortunately the mentality seems to be that if it's big enough it's gonna hit all the right buttons when i stick it in.. as opposed to trying to figure how to use it effectively..

Aha! Someone has discovered the secret correct answer to the trick question! For the record, yeah sometimes it does but only at relatively uncommon extremes. As with anything sex related everyone is a unique and special snowflake (a snowflake that you can fuck) and so you actually have to ask them what they like. Some girls will have a definite preference, others couldn't care less. Some couples are unable to engage in penetrative sex at all for various reasons (paralyzed, ED, other injury, etc...) and they manage to get by entirely without it.

Which brings me to another important point: Do not overlook oral. If everyone was as good at oral sex as they should be there would be world peace (and a thriving economy due to the highly lucrative dental dam industry). Actually oral may deserve its own thread. Excuse me; gotta go do some research.

Edit: Butchered a common figure of speech god damn it.

Unfortunately no one knows everything. Violet Blue, www.tinynibbles.com is an excellent writer on various sexual subjects. The Ultimate Guide to Cunnilingus is an excellent book and I'd personally recommend it.
