i dont understand when you guys talk about ruining the value, as far as i know the bookstore buys them back regardless of mark up in the book, ive never had a book refused or marked down cause of mark up, and i used to mark the shit out of my texts....now i just buy used texts with highlights to save myself time ;)

They only take in a certain number of books. AFTER that, they won't accept it and you hafta deal with it yourself. And some value isn't just so you can sell it. Why would you want to deface something worth $300 in the first place? I'm sure if you bought expensive sunglasses you wouldn't go scratching it up.
lol, how does highlighting a textbook even help u study? If u do highlight, dont u just end up highlighting almost like 50% of the textbook? I just write down notes in a notebook, that way i can actually remember stuff and keep my textbook in shape.
^^^LOL, wut kind of logic is that? U plan on nvr reading ur textbooks again (that are over 100) so u abuse them so u dont get the maximum amount of money back? U know that u could just read em and sell them to sum1 for a higher price? Unless money doesnt mean nething to u, most ppl wud value nething that is over 100 dollars. Did u win the lottery?
what do you mean lazyguy, you can mark them up however you like and still get the full value back, i used to always highlight the shit out of mine
if the bookstore isnt buying anymore back ive thrown them in the garbage even, i threw my stats 201 textbook in the dumpster when i was done, i actually considered lighting it on fire as a right of passage
LOL, ya I know its bad, i just really suck at typing, neways.... and about the textbooks, i thought the bookstore doesnt accept em unless there in a pretty good condition, and u throw em away? lol, if u dont value the textbook at least value how much there worth? U cud have easily sold to ne1 that was yet to take the class
i dont think they reject the book if theyre buying unless the cover is like ripped or torn off or something...ive sold back some pretty creased and crimpled and crunched texts
