good call, but i think this question is directed towards girls

As a guy, I could care less. If I like the girl, touring the local dump could be fun.

[edit] - And by "touring the local dump," I of course mean anal.

For a first date, the classic dinner and movie date works perfectly if you don't know the other person too well.

For a date after you both know each other, it would be relaxing at a beach in the summer. We would be doing the normal beachy things like frisbee, swimming, etc. We would eat outside and watch the sunset. After it gets too cold we would go back home and watch a movie. I like more casual dates.

Also I like it when guys think of new creative ideas for dates... one time an ex took me wall climbing and that was pretty cool for a date. Another time we climbed up some scaffolding to see a view and that scored points as well.

Yeah, first date's gotta be pretty...normal, atleast for me. Not really into going out for movies though...but I guess the first date can be an exception. Dinner and a walk around Stanley Park or something. I like to keep it really simple and inexpensive.

After that, it doesn't really matter, I'm really down with anything -- anything from mini golfing to spontaneous drives to Kits to all you can eat fondue to karaoke, you name it. I just like it when the guy makes the effort and makes the plans, reservations, etc. Taking initiative when it comes to planning is a huge thing that I really appreciate during dates -- something that my ex had a problem with. Anywho, the night would end where the guy drives me home, kiss on the doorstep, and gives me a call and discuss when we're gonna see eachother next. Ahh... if this only still happened in reality.

Dress code would be casual but dressy. Obviously, don't come dressed as a slob. It's a huge turn-off when guys don't know how to dress. But then again, you don't wanna overdress because it'll look like you're just trying too hard...

i think my ideal date would be where the guy says "hey i know this place, maybe you'll like it." That way it's kinda like the surprise part which who doesn't like sweet surprises? and also it means that it's kinda planned out but it COULD be spontaneous too. Those times are usually the most fun I have on dates. Umm what would he wear? i don't know...I'd like it if I personally was warned like "bring a coat I have a surprise" or "don't wear heels we might walk a bit" or something like that...hmm..how would the night end? I think it would be fun to just go with the flow, if the plans didn't work out then finding something fun or romantic to do instead is also great...wow sorry if i'm writing a lot =p

Seeing that I have never been on a date before, I guess my ideal date would be one where nothing gone wrong. Also, everything goes according to plan and spending would be kept in check.

^ well nothing is supposed to go wrong in an ideal date.. but too bad it never happens in real dates..=P

If I could have a date were I didn't make any blunder, then I will be content.

I think I will work on my planning and organizational skills before I go for more advanced stuff. Being said, YES, I do have self-confidence issues, and yes, I do question my ability to plan anything.

    Crashing an expensive event.

Preferably a gala of some kind. Or maybe a graduation party.
