lol i just watched this horrible show for a complete hour on Fox out of boredom and wanted to ask you guys a question from the show.

I mean no offense to anyone but if you were hooked to a lie detector, how would you respond to the question:
Do fat people repulse you?

    First off: Lie detectors are bull.

    But, to the spirit of the question:
    Depends on the person. There's fat, then obese, then morbidly obese. There's well-groomed fat vs. greasy fat. There's smooth fat vs. hairy fat.

    Some definitely do, though. But I think it's more a reaction to the hygene that goes along with the blubber.

    Honestly, I would say it depends on the fatness too. But generally, I would prefer someone to be less fat (ie. 2 people exactly the same except one is fatter, I would choose the less fat one).

    Of course, if I was hooked up to a lie detector with a bunch of fat judges glaring at me, I would answer 'no' to the question.

    It's so stupid. Why would ppl go on the show if they have stuff to hide when they know they're going to ask them questions like "Have you cheated on your wife?"

    Here's the interesting part about this show, studies estimate the accuracy of polygraphs to be between 61% and 95%, with an estimated 10-15% of people being incorrectly labeled as untruthful. The error rate introduces an element of chance into the game; if every answer was correct 95% of the time, there would only be a 34% chance of getting all 21 answers to show as true. As the questions become increasingly embarrassing, contestants may not wish to answer them, but have no choice, and since the polygraph answer will in any case be revealed there is no reason to not answer truthfully, unless their goal is to humiliate themselves and not win.

    Ive never watched the show, but Ive heard clip-its from it on the radio, and I agree, it sounds rather retarded.

    I cant imagine a wife being happy with her husband for him admitting that hes thought about cheating on her....but oh hes telling the truth so its ok....??

    Its dumb.

    Anyways, as for the fat person question, it depends on how fat they are, like other people said.

    For dating, or in general? I don't think I could go out with an excessively fat person..then I might puke. A can put up with a little chub though :p

    In general...doesn't bother me a bit, unless they're hanging out of their clothes.
