holy fuck. Mastering Physics is the biggest piece of educational shit that's ever been jammed down my throat.

any one else using/have used mastering physics and felt the same way?

i feel it doesn't reflect the real knowledge that i know. i aced the midterm but am getting low scores on these questions.

haha but i gotta say, i've been leaving "colorful" feedback after each question (obviously not as vulgar as this one), but seriously i'm pissed for having been made to pay for this thing when i'm not learning anything...

    This is of course coming from somone who's never taken a science course, let alone a physics one :tongue:

    I'd like to say that I totally know what you mean and I've been there, but that would sound like a cliche.

    However, at one point, there was a statistical program I had to learn which was particularly frustrating for me. I was probably experiencing as much irritation as you. I slept on it, and the next day I was able to tackle it with few problems.

    That's the only advice I can give you--seeing as how your last post was at 3:31 am :teeth: --get some rest, and perhaps you'll realize that it's not so bad :confused: :teeth: :shade:

    BTW, LOL @ "colorful" feedback.

    UGH. They have two symbols that both look exactly like theta. I spent 20 minutes going NUTS because I knew I had the right answer, but happened to be using the wrong symbol for theta, and didn't realize there was another one. AAHHH!

    That said, I don't think Mastering Physics is THAT bad. It's got some interesting features, and the bredth of questions it can dish out is far wider than LonCapa.

    haha i was a little moody wasn't I? Just a little. ;)

    I did sleep on it (eventually) and in the morning I totally just forgot about it-lol.

    I hope the instructors have a good laugh at my comments though because if they view it in succession, my first few comments were expressing my concerns and eventually near the end of the assignment I just started saying things like "you're enjoying this aren't you?"

    Oh I have heard the horror stories about mastering physics. I feel sorry for you.

    I am glad the worst I had to deal with was lon cappa.
