I do okay in English classes, but the exams are sadistic. THREE HOURS of constant writing is not an exam, it's a kind of sick torture!

Considering I very rarely handwrite (typing is so much faster), my hand is a cramped up claw now... Ouch!

The exam was tonight from 7pm-10pm. So it's late, I've been doing stuff all day, trying to study (ha!) then writing for 3 hours straight. I'm also getting over a cold. I started to lose it a bit in the middle of the exam when I was waiting for a red line to appear under a word I thought I misspelled... Yiiiikes.

At least it's OVERRRR! Has anyone else had killer exams this semester?

    I've yet to have a killer exam yet...my philosophy one is soon and I'm anticipating a lot of writing as well.
    but yeah I had an english exam last semester that was pretty killer...about 12 S.A. Q's and an essay in two hours. I just barely got it done.

    It's really hard to write english exams! I mean, when we have essay topics and such, we have a considerate amount of time to prepare, but when I have to write on the spot, I pretty much jot down the first things that come to mind and I just have to go with it. It always seems to work out that after I'm done, that's when I come up with an even more insightful idea, and then I kick myself for not having come up with earlier. Oh well, what can you do right?

    At least it's over! Feel better from your cold! Being sick and being on a plane off to Thailand is not acceptable, and that's an order!

    the Biology 101 final exam was the toughest exam I ever wrote in my entire life.

    Bio 101??? Come on, that course is just straight memorizing. If you think that's hard, wait till you get to bio 316, that lab exam was brutal.

    um my last one was pretty bad.. when u dont know what u are saying and just have to bs about law (knowing obviously it is the wrong thing to say).. it was ugly :x 10 questions, all written responses ouch.

    Ooo ouch. It sucks when you have to BS your way through things. Especially if there isn't a m/c part or something else you can reference so you can at least use some of the terminology!

    I have ONE more exam on Friday for Fine Arts. The course has been an unfunny joke the whole term, so I expect the exam to follow suit. I'm really not worried about it!

    oh.. i had mine on monday night too.. same time.. =P accept mine was a stat exam.. suffice to say it pretty much took everyone including myself the whole 3 hours to do the calculations.. @_@ what's worse what i brought a headache and a fever in writing the exam and gosh it did wonders to my mind.. i blanked out and just bsed my way thru the calculations.. i just hope i pass since it's worth 55% of the grade... *cries*

    no i think it's Zhang.

    don't worry about the results tooo much, perhaps it's bell curved? do you know the rest of your class was doing before the exam?

    uh yeah.. they were.. some freak even perfected the 2nd midterm.. @_@ and i barely passed for both.. siGh.. smart class...=.="

    Particle physics was surprisingly tough on a few questions :confused:

    And the very last question I had to do - killer!

    Perhaps this thread should be renamed "Final Exams are EVIL." :tongue:
