IAT OR CS/SOSY

edited September 2014 in General
hello guys,
i want to choose one as  major between IAT and CS/SYSO.
i heard some people said, 200 level harder than 300 level, and 300 level harder than 400 level, is that true?
for IAT, some people said ,it is a design and programming.course. i do not know too much about it.
could anybody tell me more detail about these two majors?
i want to do system analyst or information system after graduation.
which major i should choose ?

  • I am not quite sure what you mean by system analyst/information system, but if you want a job programming you will want to do CS/SoSy over IAT.

IAT is really a design major. There are a couple of courses that include programming, but it alone will not prepare you for a programming job.

For CS/SoSy I would not say the difficulty is 200 > 300 > 400. The difficulty of the 300 and 400 courses will depend on the ones you choose to take. The 200 level has a couple of challenging courses for people still wrapping their heads around programming, but the people who find the 200 level courses particularly hard will find the 300 and 400 level courses harder.
