It really depends. I've never taken a formal course on Number Theory but have learned bits and pieces from other courses.
Are you a math major at SFU?
If you are having trouble with logic of proofs, I could probably help you. I would definitely need you to send your homework problems you are having trouble on before we meet and this would require a higher rate per hour. Since it is a higher level course that not all math majors will take and, indeed some mathematicians will never see a number theory textbook, it is a bit more work for me.
