Fall 2006 Marks

Well im happy as hell right now with my first (ever) semester marks here at SFU. I got the following....

FAL X99: A-
Math 151: B+
Physics 101: B-
Geography 111: C+
GPA: 3.071= B

so......Going into the Geography and Physics exam i was pretty sure i was going to fail those classes but i geuss i pulled it off. Time to kick it up a notch and go for that 4.00 avg hehe.

How'd everyone else do? (you dont have to post if you dont feel like it)

    Good job! It's always nice to do better than you'd anticipated. And it looks like it's encouraging you to do even better next semester!

    Mine:
    Educ 211: B
    Ling 100: A-
    Psyc 201: A
    Psyc 250: A-
    GPA: 3.61 = nearly A-

    I'm frigging excited that I did so well! It's my first semester at SFU too, so I was fully expecting to do poorly. I'm especially happy about the Psyc 201 mark as that was a difficult class and I busted my ass for that A! And the Psyc 250 final exam was all fucked up, so I'm happy I did so well!

    I took a bunch of upper division electives this semester which is suppose to help my GPA so I have a better chance of getting into grad school if I decide to take that route. I guess working 40 hour weeks does not help your grades.

    I ended up with two B+ and one C+ (I don't think the prof was too happy w/ me in this class cuz I didn't showed up half the time thus he gave me 0 for particpation).

    My GPA came out to be (3.33*7+2.33*3)/10 = 3.03 GPA

    I did.. okay...
    It was my first semester ever of university :P
    So I'm not too too dissapointed.

    Chem 121: B-
    Chinese 100: B
    Earth Sci 107: C

    well i didnt read and go to lecture... why? i duno, rather sleep... call me what you will but i passed at least, haha. I think ill actually do work in the spring though... goal is a cgpa of 3.0, so guess i should try now...
    Crim 251 - B+

    4th semester gpa - 2.5
    total credits taken = 43, CGPA - 2.53

    CHEM 839 - A-
    CHEM 842 - A-

    Bleh. :tongue: Grad courses, you often tend to get an A- for showing up to seminar courses, which was what 842 was. 839 was a mixed section so assignments, final exams, things like that, factor in more than presentation skills.

    It wasn't very hard, except for combinatorics. I think it depends on the prof. Our prof was JC.Liu-he was awesome. His lectures are fun and power point notes are clear.

    CMPT 120 - C+

    cmpt 120 made an ugly scar on my transcript...but i'm not complaining. i just can't program, i have no interest in it, so now i know lol.

    it's my first semester too. i'm definitely content, but would like to aim higher, and fix up my work ethic. i could definitely try a little harder. i skipped too many classes near the end of the semester...

    I see everybody is taking 4-5 courses and I only take 3- is it very bad to take only 3 courses per semester? should i take more?
