physics 120 grade

edited December 2013 in General
Hey people.

i have received a grade of D in physics 120. Does that mean i have to retake the course with Neil alber something. A prof who is as bad as the one i had? Can i take physics 102 in the spring semester or i have to take 120 again. i would take bio 101 with phy 101 but i am on the wait list for bio 101. Sigh, if only the prof can give us practices, i would do so much better. Guess 500 dollars down the drain.

  • It's not teacher's fault you did poorly. There are plenty of resources you could have taken advantage of. Anyways, you need a C- to use a course as a prerequisite, so you will not be able to take the next course until you retake 120. Good luck.
  • thank you for the help. let's say I got a d can I take phy101 instead of 120. Without a c-, can't do much buy retaking 120 or 101 right?
  • Im not sure what happens if you do that. The D would probably still stay on your transcript if you take 101 instead of retaking 120. Email the advisor.
  • If I take 120, would the D be replaced?
  • No once the D has been inside you it cannot be replaced. It will have been with you forever.
