someone please explain academic probation?

my grades aren't looking to great, and i'm worried i'll be put on academic probation. except i'm not 100% sure if i understand what it is. i remember from blueprints that if you your gpa is under 2.0 for two consecutive semesters, you'll have to withdraw from sfu. i've never been on AP, and this is my fourth semester. i'm worried i'll have a term gpa lower than 2.0, if i do but my cgpa is still above 2.0, will I be on AP? or does AP mean that both term gpa and cgpa is lower than 2.0?

your cgpa has to drop below 2 to get on AP. you can have as many consecutive sub-2.0 semesters as you want as long as your cgpa holds above 2.
