What's the difference between seminars and lectures?

Hi guys, I was just wondering what's the main difference between seminars and lectures? I'm planning on taking some 400 level HR seminars and wondering what the course load is like.

Lecture is spoon-feeding information to you, seminar is more participatory and discussion based.  Also you'll notice seminars are usually 4 hours on the time slot while lectures are 2 hours plus an hour of tutorial, at least in the Faculty of Arts.
