Econ student first year switching to crim (MAYBE), course advice please?

edited November 2013 in General
Hey I'm a first year Economics student wanting to possibly transfer into crim. Should my first semester courses look like this?

Econ 105
Econ 103
+ Another course

or

Econ 105
Crim 101
+ Another course?

I'm not sure whats the best route I should take to be able to diversify myself in the future. Also what are some good first year courses I should take? I'm so lost :( any help please?

  • It is not recommended to take both econ 103, and 105 in the same semester. The topics are easy to mix up. If you are unsure about course selection make an appointment with an advisor, or check their drop in hours. They are very helpful. I would suggest maybe taking a course to fulfill your WQB requirements.
  • Should look more like the second one. If you thinking of transferring to crim then your "another course" should be crim also.
