$50 penalty when dropping a course?

edited November 2013 in General
I want to take a bus course but it has a 12 credit prerequisite. I currently have 13 credits but there's a chance I might fail my econ class. Would I be penalized since my net course load would decrease?

  • Yup, you could always swap the bus course for a different one though (such as the econ course if you fail it).
  • What? Are you talking about the Spring semester? the drop deadline hasn't even past yet
  • Yeah but he might find out his grade only by the time the deadline passes. You should just enroll in it for now and do what 112233 says and swap the course for something else if you fail or for the same econ course to retake.
  • Be aware that there are swapping deadlines too. If you pass it you have to talk to the Faculty advisor to swap it if it's past the deadline.
