GERO 300

edited November 2013 in General
I'm planning to take GERO 300 for my upper division elective.

For this Spring 2014, there is only GERO 300 DISTANCE EDUCATION course offered by professor Habib Chaudhury.

Did anyone take GERO 300 before with Habib Chaudhury or had any experience in Distance education GERO 300?

Also, I heard all GERO 300 courses require to write a "6000 words essay." How was the essay?

Comments

  • I heard you have to give old people sponge baths and eat grandma's cookies and listen to her stories for the practicum.
  • The essay is about "dem darn teenagers these days and their smart-telephones, ciley myruses and dem damn twerkin'!"
  • GERO 300 is a distance course more often than not.  Heard something about interviewing a senior,  maybe just for the distance course  -  no sponge baths that I know! - 'cos someone in the class supposedly said, "How do I find an old person?"  Habib Chaudhury is pleasant, not a really tough marker, but he might not be teaching it this year.  Term paper is straightforward, maybe a little longer than usual...

  • Thanks for the comments guys!

So does it mean that even the Spring 2014 course registration indicates "GERO 300 - Habib Chaudhury," Habib Chaudhury won't be actually teaching the course?

And did you hear anybody who took GERO 300 did not write 6000 words essay? The number 6000 words give me the scare.
  • @lakerfanatic Shitty. 12,000 words= like 20-25 pages? Was it for Crim 220 or 300W?

And interviewing a senior= basically what I said you have to do. eat her cookies first (forcefully) and sponge bath while talking.
