sfu bookstore buybacks

edited November 2013 in General
I am wondering if the bookstore only takes textbooks which I bought for full price? I bought some books which were sold as "used book" by the time, I can't sell them again to them right? Thanks.

  • Sure you can
  • (but you can always get more from selling directly to another student)
  • I never saw people wanna philo144 ( stupid course ever)
  • ^wtf?

um yeah bookstore buyback is a complete rip don't even waste your time/money with it. It's like going back to have consensual sex with the person who just buttfucked raped you in the ass.
  • That's why I never buy textbooks.
  • Yeah dont do the bookstore buyback (or buy from them!) unless you want to know how it feels to get seriously ripped off - sell it online. There are many resources: books2go, locazu, saveonbook - all free sites and a lot of SFU students use it. I did bookstore buyback once - ONCE, only because of a world lit course that had me purchase like 5 novels for one semester and i ended up selling them back to the bookstore because im never going to read homers odyssey voluntarily...
  • thanks very much, I think I will just sell them on used books websites. It's just sometimes you need a textbook but there's no one selling it
