    1. Firefox - 69.46%

  • More iPhones and android phone browsing using safari and chrome im guessing?
  • Wow, it's interesting to see firefox lose so much ground considering its just as good as chrome.  I guess google's strategy of integrating its products has worked.
  • I would attribute it to mobile and the fact that chrome was a lot faster than firefox for a number of years.
  • I stopped using Firefox because it would constantly freeze while trying to CTRL F through a very long list. Chrome is great, and I've never wanted to switch back.
  • Hey guys! I'm writing this using Internet Explorer and I hope you get this in time but I just wanted to say Happy New Year 2012 woooo!!!
  • @Lucid It's not as good as Firefox. It may be good for some people but Chrome is optimized for entertainment things such as Flash player capabilities which most people do things that require certain Chrome characteristics i.e. youtube, movies, flash games etc.
  • In my experience Firefox works better for youtube.

Chrome implements faster newer JS APIs.
  • For guys, Chrome has porn mode. No joke.
  • Firefox and IE both have a private browsing mode as well.
  • chrome pioneered most of the things that are now standard in other browsers.. and its just faster and easier to use.. i haven't used firefox in years!
  • I tried Chrome and stopped using it because it couldn't handle having a lot of tabs open (lag), so I went back to Firefox.
  • Ditto what Simon said. Chrome is just so much smoother. Browser rankings imo is 1. Chrome 2. Firefox 3. Safari (maybe?) 4. Some other thing 5. IE 6. Netscape 7. The one you used on your flip phone back in 2003.
  • @SFUTalk It's not Chrome's fault it is most likely your computer hardware. Upgrade your RAM and you'll do okay. I had problems with too many tabs/windows too but after upgrading my memory it works quite well now. Firefox uses up more resources than Chrome, at least for me.

@lakerfanatic I think that is just the built-in Android browser and I heard it sucks. You can download a different browser preferably Chrome.
  • @Simon I noticed the sponsors hub to the right on the homepage now. Is that new or was that always there and I just didn't notice it? If it's new congrats on being able to monetize this useful site!
  • @BeAnBeAn It's new, but it's just links to websites I've made (I do freelance work)

Prolly could get sponsors, but just never really bothered to lol.. I hate sites with too many ads

    Thanks for noticing though! :)
  • @Simon - I haaaate sites with a bunch of ads...
  • There's a chrome add on called AdBlock, it removes ads
  • ^Youtube/google is getting pretty good at bypassing it now though. Some ads slip through occasionally.
  • It's odd how Google made their money from ads and now ads are disappearing because of them.
  • Add-ons and extensions aren't made by Google though...
  • Yeah, but they could easily block specific ones if they want to.
  • Not really. Even some with viruses they don't even block because you have to agree to a disclaimer saying that they didn't develop this add-on/extension and they are not liable for any risks associated with it when you download.
