CMPT 300 + CMPT 354 + CMPT 305 Workload

edited July 2013 in General

I was wondering how the workload would be if I was taking these 3 courses along with 15-20 hours of work a week.  And also anyone have experience with these profs?

300 with Steven Pearce

305 with J.Peters

354 with Oliver Schulte

If I can get 275 or 376W I'm going to replace either 305 or 354.  I've heard Steven Pearce is an easy prof so I'm going to try to keep 300.  But then I heard Oliver lets people use cheat sheets in the midterm and final.  I've found making them really helps me study, so maybe I should keep that.

Any advice from the "OG's"?

Thanks.

  • 354 is probably the easiest of the three. 300 with Pearce is the easiest offering, but he teaches it all the time so you could take it whenever. His course has gotten harder though, it's not quite as easy as it once was. 305 isn't offered much so I can't really comment on it. Peters is good, but I think the course might be a trap. I think those three with 20 hours of work might be a bit much to be honest. Unless you are good at allocating your time. I think 275 would be a bad idea too. 376 might be worth switching to if you can get in.
