Communication Students - Survey Questions for CMNS 362 Research Project *Please take a look

Hey Guys,

We are doing a research project for CMNS 362 about SFU Communications students and if being a member of any of the communications related Facebook groups adds to their university experience and how. We need to collect some asynchronous interviews on forums. So if any of you have the time to spend 5-10 minutes answering the following questions you would be doing us a huge favour.

For Communications Students
  1. Are you a member of any SFU Communications related Facebook groups?
  2. Is belonging to the SFU Communications community important to you while your in school? Is that part of the reason you joined if you are a member?
  3. Did you discover other benefits from being a member of these groups?
  4. Have you gotten any academic/professional/social opportunities through these groups? If so, can you expand?
  5. Do you feel more connected to the School of Communication after joining these groups?
  6. Have you ever asked for information about classes, professors, etc.?
  7. Have you ever responded to other student’s questions?
  8. How do you feel about the content posted in the groups and onto your news feed?
  9. If you are not a member of these groups now, do you think that you will look into joining them after this?
  10. What recommendations would you make to the administrators of the different groups to improve the groups or to make more students aware of them?
