What are easy courses and b-course in SFU computing science?

edited June 2013 in General
I'm going to major in sfu computing science in fall,2013.
1. Can anyone tell me which first & second
year computing science courses are easy to get good marks and which professors are teaching those corresponding easy courses.
2. What would be easy b-humans courses (&please tell me which professors please),b-science courses( & professors)?

I really appreciate those who answer!~~

  • I have generally found that the majority of computer science courses are easy to get good marks in if you know your stuff. They often just boil down to a lot of assignments and a couple of tests you need to do well on. If you have prior programming experience the first couple of 100 level programming courses you take should be a breeze. Otherwise be ready to work at it.

For a B-Hum I recommend you try to find something you are interested in. In my experience electives you are interested in are usually easier than the "easy electives" you will find online. For a B-Sci though do STAT 100. It is a bit of an exception to the rule, and is just in general easy. You have to do it before doing STAT 101/STAT 270, so keep that in mind.

BTW, Do not make some shitty post title about things totally unrelated to the content again. It almost made me not reply to you at all =)
  • Thanks appreciate it :)
  • Oh and take cmpt 120/125 instead of straight 126 (or 130/135 if youre in software systems). Then you got 2 fairly-easy courses instead of one. Also the extra 3 credits will be useful later on when you're trying to reach 120 to graduate.
  • thanks :)
