A question about required courses
If I fail a required course for my major, say STATS101. Would I be able to take STATS203 and make up for it since it is also an option for my major? Since I took two when I was required to take one of the choices, would the other be considered an elective?

But you can take STATS203, and get the required credit for that requirement. If your requirements say you have to take STATS101 OR STATS203 then just pick one and pass it. You don't have to do the other one if you pass. But if you pass both then I guess it counts as an elective, i'm not too sure on this. Btw, I would advise you just to take STATS101 again if you failed because if you get a better grade then it will replace your last grade and boost up your gpa. If not then that failed course will still be calculated into your gpa and that'll bring it down. Hope that helps.
