Is there a fee for dropping a waitlisted class?

Hi everyone! I'm new here :)

 

I'm wondering if I will receive a penalty if I drop a class that I'm waitlisted on... Does anybody know about this? SFU's website says this: April 6 - May 10 "Penalty of $50 for each class dropped (maximum total penalty $100) during this period, if your net course load has decreased".

I'm just not sure if this is applicable to me because I'm not even enrolled in the class yet - just waitlisted.

    If your just waitlisted then I don't think it would affect cause if your waitlisted your not technically on the course
