Averages at SFU (or any other university)

edited February 2013 in General
Hi, I'm currently worried about my average.

Does SFU only look at 4 courses when considering an Average or does it look at EVERY grade 12 course?
Because I've been accepted into a course that does not require calculus at all, yet I took it because I thought I was going to do business at first.

69% in Calculus, I'd really prefer they not include that into my average lol. Is there anyway to omit courses? (probably not right?) aha

  • I dont know the specifics off the top of my head but I got 60 or a little less in highschool calculus and I got in fine. I think its only the top 4 courses. If you google for sfu admission average or something you'll probably findthe details
  • It's usually 4 courses, but it depends on which program you are getting into.

Arts: English 12, and 3 approved grade 12 courses.
Engineering: English 12, Calculus 12 (or math), 2 grade 12 sciences.

The averages are calculated based on those 4 courses only
