Transferring Faculty from Arts to Engineering ?!?!

edited January 2013 in General
I'm trying to transfer from arts-econ to engineering. my gpa is really low and I'm wondering what gpa would i need to transfer into engineering and what courses i should take ?
I see that 2.25 is the gpa but i doubt it is actually that low considering competition and such and such.
any help would be wonderful thank you !

  • If your GPA is low in Arts, it's going to be very hard for you to succeed in engineering.
  • Talk to an advisor. I don't understand why people ask these things on a forum.
  • Generally transferring between programs is quite easy as long as you meet the requirements of the faculty. You don't really have to compete like you would if you were entering the program from high school.

As has been said you should talk to an adviser, but in the meantime this page tells you exactly what you need to do in order to transfer http://www.ensc.sfu.ca/undergraduate_students/admissions.html
