are minors helpful?? or just for interest

I was thinking of perhaps doing a chem minor, but i don't really see what difference it will make in the future.. anyone want to contradict me?

  • If you can relate to your major or how it will might complement your work in the future (like becoming a teacher or whatnot) then go for it, otherwise I don't see any benefits just another option for people since minor takes up a bit of your other credit hours.
  • do you think it will go well the an mbb major
  • Well if you're interested in chemistry I think a minor doesn't hurt if you're just gonna take chem courses for fun/electives anyway.  The minor requirements for chem is a minimum of 14 upper division units in chemistry, biochemistry or nuclear science, so if you happen to take some courses in biochem and they fit into the requirements then I say go for it
