Reference Letter for Grad School
I just transferred to SFU last September and I am going to finish my BA
next semester on April. I am thinking about going to Grad School after I
finish but I have no idea where I should get my reference letter since I
just been here for 1 year. In such big classes, most professors do not
know me much even though I got A's. Wouldn't be awkward to ask the prof
to write me a reference letter ? Plus, I don't think they might do it
for me. Maybe I should get some work experience or participate in
research project first?
Any suggestions ? Thanks a lot

Also, when asking for a LOR, ask specifically if the person is willing to write you a strong LOR. You don't want a mediocre or negative LOR and asking this way gives the person an out if they are not willing to write you a strong LOR.
