MATH 154- Midterm #1

edited September 2012 in General
Hi,

I'm a first year and I had questions/worries about the math 154 midterm. I've asked people and the a lot of them said that a lot of people failed that midterm? Doesn't help the nerves. Anybody have any tips on how to do well? Etc.

Thanks :)

  • Yeah, study hard and do your homework
  • Okay, that's obvious but things like rewriting the notes? Doing practice exams, etc. Also are the questions on past practice exams pretty similar to the actual test?
  • Understand and have all of the theorems memorized. After that, do a shit ton of examples. Also, there are a lot of resources online and on youtube (ex. patrickjmt) that explain theory and have worked out examples. If you don't do practice problems, you will likely make small errors during the exam that will cost you, even if you have the theory down (I know from experience).
  • Prepare to fail
