I was wondering how popular is the GIS program. And if anyone took it, any comments regarding the upper division Geog courses required. Also, what is the male/female ratio in the program
The only geography course I've taken is GEOG 100, so I can't really comment. I know someone who is taking GIS and combining it somehow with environmental studies - he got an internship this summer and is making decent money. He enjoys it because he gets to somehow combine his interest in the environment with his interest in computers. What exactly do you study in GIS?
