Transfer Engineering

edited July 2012 in General
I just wanted to ask for help for a possible transferring from SFU to UBC. I have nothing against SFU, it's just that the SFU doesn't offer the engineering program that i want (civil engineering) and i didn't want to go through university studying to become something i don't want. I just need help from someone who knows what to do and i wanna transfer asap. I also need help about which courses i should take that would be directly transferable into UBC's engineering program.

My courses this coming fall are

CHEM 121
CMPT 128
ENSC 100W
ENSC 101W
MATH 151
PHYS 125

Lets you know the UBC equivalent of any SFU courses
  • Following this schedule, you would have enough credits to transfer, and all the courses listed transfer.
One of my friends wanted to transfer (likewise wanted to do civil engineering) so I made this from him.
With this schedule, you will have enough transferable credits to transfer after a year. Feel free to change it up to your liking. Cheers.

    First Semester
    Math 151 - 3
    Phys 120 - 3
    Chem 121 - 4
Elective (Check what is transferable, I recommend Psyc 100 - 3

    Second Semester
    Phys 121 - 3
    Phys 130 - 2
    Math 152 - 3
    Math 232 - 3
    Engl 199 - 3

    Third Semester
    Math 251 - 3
    Math 310 - 3
    Stat 270 - 3

  • Hi just tu further clariffy, how did ur friend do? Was he able to get into UBC engineering with these courses?
  • It is your GPA that determines. Enough transferable cresits only ensures that you can start from the 2nd year.
