Need advise for taking CMPT 300 or 371 this summer?

I am choosing between cmpt 300 with Petra Berenbrink, and cmpt 371 with Lou Hafer. My other courses are cmpt 320 and 383.

I checked on rateMyProfessor: CMPT 300 with Petra is purely memorization and she doesn't teach well. And rating on Lou is generally very low...

    also - for anyone who has only taken cmpt225 as their only 200-level course would you recommend cmpt 300 to them? is it just purely theory?

    300 doesn't really need anything that you would need to take other 200 level courses for (although 250 doesn't hurt)

    I had Harinder for 300, the content was all pretty reasonable and interesting, and assignments were all done in C and only loosely related to the lectures. (I imagine other instructors might opt for more boring theoryish assignments that are closer related though, i dunno)
